1. Risks and Benefits of Therapy
Therapy is a collaborative process that can provide numerous benefits, including:
- Increased self-awareness and emotional well-being.
- Improved relationships and coping skills.
- Resolution of specific concerns or challenges.
However, it is essential to acknowledge potential risks, such as:
- Experiencing discomfort when discussing difficult emotions or memories.
- Temporary feelings of distress as you work through complex issues.
- Outcomes that may vary depending on individual participation and circumstances.
2. Confidentiality
We prioritize your privacy and adhere to strict confidentiality practices. All information shared during sessions is protected, with the following exceptions:
- If there is a risk of harm to yourself or others.
- If required by law or court order.
- In cases of suspected abuse or neglect of a minor, elderly person, or vulnerable adult.
We may consult with other professionals to ensure quality care, but identifying information will not be shared without your consent.
3. Availability of Therapists
Therapists will make every effort to be accessible during scheduled sessions. Outside of these times:
- Therapists may not be immediately available for emergencies or crises.
- Clients are encouraged to use emergency services or crisis hotlines if immediate assistance is needed.
- Email or messaging responses may have a standard turnaround time, which will be communicated by your therapist.
4. Fees and Payment Policies
- All fees will be discussed and agreed upon before the start of therapy.
- Payment is required as per the agreed schedule, and missed sessions without prior notice may incur charges.
- Sliding scale or concession fees, if applicable, will be determined on a case-by-case basis.
- Fee is paid either while booking the session or is to be cleared within 24 hours of completing the session.
- Any concern regarding processing of payment can be communicated to our admin in case of emergency.
5. Cancellation
- Sessions canceled with less than 12 hours’ notice may be subject to a cancellation fee. For more details, please refer to our cancellation and refund policy. (link to that page)
6. Informed Consent for Online Therapy
- Online therapy requires a stable internet connection and a private, distraction-free environment.
- While every effort is made to ensure confidentiality, there are inherent risks with online communication, such as technical disruptions or network concerns.
7. Termination of Therapy
- Either the client or therapist may decide to discontinue therapy at any time.
- If therapy is terminated by the therapist, appropriate referrals will be provided to ensure continuity of care.
8. Feedback and Complaints

9.Ethics of Client and Therapist
Therapist Ethics:
- Therapists will maintain professionalism and adhere to ethical guidelines established by relevant governing bodies.

- Dual relationships, conflicts of interest, or exploitation of the therapeutic relationship will be strictly avoided.

- Any concerns regarding the therapy process should be communicated openly for resolution.
